Space Pirates 1.3
Space Pirates 1.3 focuses on gameplay improvements. Instead of having a series of waves that go towards the player's base, an AI builds scouting ships and sends them after the player's units. There is also an empty base that the player can try to capture.
I like this variation due to having to think of different strategies to win. However, the AI is very simple. I still need to implement an AI that builds construction ships and tries to expand the base. The AI starts with 10,000 resources and that makes it harder to beat. When the AI runs out of resources, it becomes easier to expand the base and mount a counter offensive. I also found it easier to beat the AI if I had Fighters earlier in the game.
